Bradford (Park Avenue) are welcoming yet another tenant to Horsfall for next season.

With their artificial surface, Avenue are already able to host Albion Sports AFC, West Bowling ARLFC and Bradford City Women AFC without being worried about damage to their pitch.

And Halifax FC Women, formerly Brighouse Town Women, have been on the lookout for a new home ahead of the 2024/25 campaign in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division.

They spent last season playing home games at Liversedge’s Clayborn ground, but the pitch struggled to cope with the bad weather over the winter and fixture congestion, meaning it was implausible to carry on with that groundshare arrangement.

Avenue have therefore stepped in, with Halifax announcing earlier this week that they would be playing at Horsfall next season.

Avenue, Albion and West Bowling all primarily play games on Saturdays, but Halifax play theirs on a Sunday, so there will be no issues in terms of fixture clashes with that trio.

But the Bantams’ women play their home games on Sundays too, so they and Halifax will have to play in BD6 on alternate weeks.
