AFTER losing their three previous National Conference League (Division Three) fixtures, Drighlington are right back in the mix at the table’s summit having won their last two matches.

Their latest win came last Saturday (May 25) when they hosted Beverley, as they were eventually crowned 24-20 victors in what proved to be a nail-biting contest.

Jorge Hutchinson, Braden Hunter, Joseph Bownass and Aaron Blake all found themselves on the scoresheet as the hosts held on to a valuable victory in their fight for promotion.

They currently sit three points off Distington at the top of Division Three.

Teams like West Bowling and Stanningley, Premier Division and Division One respectively didn’t have a fixture last weekend, but they return to action this time around.

West Bowling host Rochdale Mayfield on Saturday (2:30 pm), whilst Stanningley host Crosfields at the same time.

Over in the Yorkshire Men’s League Premier Division, Keighley Albion didn’t have a fixture, which means they remain second bottom.

Just two points separate first to seventh in the eight-team league, so a win last time out (56-10 defeat at Doncaster Toll Bar) would have kept Albion off top spot-on points difference only.

But they have a chance to amend that when they return to action on Saturday, as they host Almondbury Spartans (2:30 pm).

In Division One, Bradford Dudley Hill and Wibsey Warriors were also fixtureless but both sides return to action this weekend.

For Dudley Hill it’s the big one, as they take on Siddal Academy.

The former are level on points with the latter, but points difference separates the two sides from Yorkshire.

Dudley will be the hosts this Saturday as they look to take top spot in Division One. Kick-off also gets underway at 2:30 pm.

For Wibsey, they travel to Sharlston Rovers, and they have the chance of levelling up with their opponents on point.

The Warriors currently remain without a victory or point on the board and currently sit in 7th out of a possible eight teams.

Sharlston occupy 6th place and remain on two points having won just once this season so far.
