Princeville D have won the Bradford & District Sunday School League's play off competition, having won 3-1 at Bradford Deaf Centre B 3-1 in the final.
The visitors only came fourth in the regular season so Deaf Centre, having finished third, had home advantage.
The match was much closer than the final score suggests.
In the first game Deaf Centre's Peter O'Connell trailed by two when he miscued in his haste to get in a final shot before the bell, so Steve Gatenby collected the first point for the visitors.
Mick Cockcroft, with the night's highest break of 31, was a more comfortable winner for Princeville, so Deaf Centre's Ihjaz Hussain needed to beat Chris Jarvis by more than 36 to take the score to 2-2 and force a shootout.
Starting with a significant handicap, the Deaf Centre man manged to hang on to his lead for most of the game but by the bell the margin was only 31, giving Princeville D the aggregate point by five, for a 3-1 victory.
RESULT:
BRADFORD DEAF CENTRE B 1 PRINCEVILLE D 3
HIGHEST BREAK:
M Cockcroft (Princeville D) 31
