Club stalwarts Josh Lynam and Matthew Bailey are struggling for first team minutes at Keighley Cougars as it stands, so both have signed a dual-registration deal with National Conference League Premier Division side West Bowling.
Bailey was not part of the Bradford’s side squad for their trip to Cumbria on Saturday to face Egremont Rangers, but Lynam was, as he appeared as a starting second row.
And the Cougars veteran, in his first game for Bowling this season, helped them to an improved performance compared to what they have produced so far since promotion to the top-flight.
But it was not enough, as the visitors fell to a battling 24-16 defeat.
They remain without a league win this season, unlike Drighlington, who obliterated visiting Seaton Rangers 54-6 to move to the Division Three summit.
Stanningley also tasted victory, winning their high-scoring Diviision One clash 40-34 at home to Woolston Rovers.
In the Yorkshire Men’s League Cup, Odsal Sedbergh were destroyed 64-0 at East Hull.
In the YML Trophy, Queensbury bowed out with a 22-6 home defeat to Upton.
