SILSDEN motorcycle trials icon Dougie Lampkin continues to have success with his annual DL12 Indoor Trials, held at the vast Utilita Arena in Sheffield every year.

The overall verdict from the fans, media, riders and industry was this year’s DL12 Indoor Trial was the best yet, and perhaps the best ever to be hosted inside the Utilita Arena over the last three decades.

This is an amazing accolade, and one to be proud of, but equally it has set the bar high for the third coming which will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, as the event looks to improve once again.

Planning and preparations are already underway for next year’s edition, and once again British fans will be able to watch the best riders on the planet in action in the UK.

Five out of the eight strong line up already contracted for next January, with full details to be revealed in due course.

Having delivered his best set of sections yet earlier this year, Lampkin is presently plotting his hazards for 2025, with a mix of new materials, alterations to some of the fans’ favourites, an all-new masterpiece plus a new layout on the arena floor.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Sheffield's Utilita Arena hosts plenty of marquee events, such as this world title victory for Leigh Wood against Josh Warrington last October, and the DL12 Indoor Trial has now become an annual fixture on its calendar.Sheffield's Utilita Arena hosts plenty of marquee events, such as this world title victory for Leigh Wood against Josh Warrington last October, and the DL12 Indoor Trial has now become an annual fixture on its calendar. Honda Hill will be back again, but this time around section six will have a twist and turn added, while race two will be faster and longer to ensure even more head-to-head drama.

Ahead of the main event, early access tickets (2pm) mean that fans will be able to enjoy Trial Expo - at no extra cost - that will again be packed with stands from all the major Trial bike manufacturers, top Trial brands and the biggest Trial retailers.

Additionally, all ticket holders will be able to access the paddock and warm up area, with improvements being made to the presentation and layout of this zone.

This will allow fans to watch the riders making their final preparations from the comfort of the arena’s tiered seating behind the curtain, while still having the opportunity to get rider autographs before the competition properly kicks off at 5pm.

Finally, ticket holders will also receive a video link after the event so they can relive the entire thing by watching the full delayed live programme, which is again included in the price of an early access ticket.

Once again fans can add to their experience by also purchasing one of the two limited upgrades, that have proved to be total sell outs over the last two years.

1: Prime: Course preview and tour hosted by Dougie Lampkin. Two sessions each limited to 200 places.

2: Prime Plus: Course preview and tour hosted by Dougie Lampkin followed by three-course meal in private hospitality/bar area and Q&A session with all eight riders between courses. Limited to 75 places.
