BRADFORD star Joe Cullen suffered a UK Open fourth round exit at the hands of former world champion Michael Smith last week.
Dimitri Van den Bergh since went on to win the competition on Sunday evening after surviving a valiant fightback from Luke Humphries to triumph in a pulsating last-leg shoot-out in Minehead.
Cullen’s fourth round came on stage two on Friday evening, as Smith showed his class in an early battle of two top stars by beating the Bradfordian 10-7.
