Eldwick’s Sophie Thackray has notched a third successive top-20 finish in the British National Cyclo-Cross Championships.
The DAS-Handsling rider came 14th in the elite women’s race at Callender Park to back up her efforts of 10th and 11th in previous years.
However, Thackray’s schedule this season has been truncated as the 24-year-old cannot ride on Saturdays due to her work as a physiotherapist.
Thackley’s Eleina McFadden (Inspire Racing Adaston Scape) was 18th in the junior women’s race in Falkirk, while Eldwick’s Oliver Barker (Shibden Cycling Club) was 32nd in the junior men’s.
Theo McFadden, Eleina’s brother, who also rides for Inspire Racing Adaston Scape, was 56th in the youth boys’ race.
