BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have confirmed that goalkeeper Tom Scott and midfielder Ted Lavelle have both agreed to extend their loans with the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Both players joined up with the Horsfall side midway through December from Halifax Town after Sporting Director Tom McStravick had identified the duo as players who could help Avenue come out of their barren spell.
Goalkeeper, Scott has experience as a youth at Leeds United and Manchester City, coming through the latter’s books as a youngster and progressing from u18 level to u23 level.
He played twice against Football League opposition for Manchester City’s u21s, in a 4-1 win against Crewe in September 2018 and in a 3-3 draw versus Barnsley in December 2018.
He had trials at Birmingham and Watford, but instead made the move to Port Vale in January 2019, before joining Halifax Town in September the same year.
Scott has also enjoyed a loan spell with Nantwich Town since joining and has made eight appearances for Halifax’s First Team.
Midfielder, Lavelle signed his first professional contract with the Shaymen in September 2023.
Lavelle previously played for Rochdale and Wigan and has also been out on loan while at Halifax Town, playing for Colne FC.
He made 11 appearances and scored six goals across all competitions while on loan with Colne.
Following the extension of both players’ loans, Avenue commented: “We’d like to thank FC Halifax Town for their help in getting this deal over the line.”
