Gilstead snooker aficionado Keith Walker has done it again, after securing four-time world snooker champion Mark Selby for an exhibition in Bradford next March.
Walker, along with his wife, Sue, has been attending top snooker events for decades, and has become a well-know figure on the circuit, to the extent that he is affectionately known by professional players as 'Crucible Keith'.
And they have repaid Walker in kind for their support down the years, with the likes of John Higgins, Mark Williams, Steve Davis and Shaun Murphy all coming to the city to play exhibition events.
The night with Selby, where he will take on the best amateur players the Bradford District has to offer, takes place on Friday, March 8, 2024, and will be held at the Saltaire Bar in Shipley.
Details can be found below:
The Saltaire Bar is the same venue where the exhibitions with Higgins and Murphy took place earlier this year.
Higgins, a four-time world champion like Selby, came to Shipley in March and won all of his 10 frames on the night, the Scot scoring a memorable 147 against local amateur Lewis Walsh to bring the house down.
But Walsh got his revenge in October, as he produced a shock win over Murphy, the only frame the 2005 world champion lost all night.
