BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have allowed the departure of one of their brightest young talents in Zak Kersey.
The midfielder, along with the likes of goalkeeper Liam Hall and forward Myles La Bastide, has been one of the teenagers to make the leap from Avenue’s academy to their first team over the last couple of years.
But only La Bastide remains at the club now out of that trio, with Kersey’s move to Frickley Athletic in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division coming off the back of Hall joining League Two Wrexham in August.
Avenue confirmed they have received an undisclosed fee from Frickley for Kersey, and the youngster will get the chance to work again with Pat McGuire.
McGuire, formerly Avenue’s academy manager, is now the head coach at Frickley.
