The draw for the first round of the 2024 Gordon Rigg Priestley Cup has thrown up two all-Premier Division ties, including a devilish draw for Park Avenue-based side Jer Lane.
They travel to face three-time winners New Farnley, while the other all top-flight encounter sees Methley entertain Townville.
Cleckheaton and Undercliffe, who won promotion to the Premier Division at the end of 2023, both have home ties against Division One opponents.
Cleckheaton host Morley while Undercliffe face a Bradford derby again Bankfoot at Intake Road.
Holders Bradford & Bingley and league champions Woodlands are among the eight clubs to receive byes when the matches are played on Sunday, May 19.
Full first-round draw: Undercliffe v Bankfoot; Carlton v Hartshead Moor; New Farnley v Jer Lane; Hanging Heaton v East Bierley; Cleckheaton v Morley; Sandal v Ossett; Baildon v Pudsey Congs; Methley v Townville.
Byes: Batley, Woodlands, Farsley, Yeadon, Bowling Old Lane, Pudsey St Lawrence, Birstall, Bradford & Bingley.
As for the Jack Hampshire Cup, played between Division Two and Three sides, only two Bradford sides are involved in the first round, and they both face each other.
Windhill & Daisy Hill may be the home side, but they will go into the tie as underdogs against their visitors, Buttershaw St Paul’s.
Holders Northowram Fields will start their defence of the Gordon Rigg Jack Hampshire Cup they won in August with a home tie against Division Two rivals Hunslet Nelson in the first round on Sunday, May 19.
League newcomers Streethouse make their bow in the competition with an away encounter against Great Preston.
Gomersal and East Ardsley, who were both relegated from Division One, will meet at Oxford Road.
The likes of Keighley, Crossflatts and Liversedge all have byes, while Brighouse are one of the three sides excluded from the competition.
Full first-round draw: Northowram Fields v Hunslet Nelson; Gomersal v East Ardsley; Great Preston v Streethouse; Crossbank Methodists v Adwalton; Windhill & Daisy Hill v Buttershaw St Paul’s.
