KEIGHLEY Cougars have signed loose-forward Aaron Brown from Widnes Vikings on a one-year deal.
The experienced back rower has played over 200 professional games in his career, and is another impressive addition by the third-tier side, following their relegation from the Betfred Championship.
How the third-tier shapes up next season remains to be seen, with Cougars and the other seven clubs in the division set for talks with the RFL following Newcastle’s decision to fold yesterday morning.
Brown is Cougars’ second signing of the off-season from Widnes, with prop Lewis Hatton also joining from the Vikings.
Meanwhile, club captain Ellis Robson is staying put, having signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The former Warrington Wolves forward joins an impressive retention list, which contains the likes of Junior Sa’u, Mark Ioane and Charlie Graham.
