DRIGHLINGTON’S chances of making the end of season play-offs are still on.
A defeat at Bentley, who were celebrating the opening of their new clubhouse on Saturday, would have spelled the end of their challenge.
But in a gripping match, Drig came away with a 26-26 draw.
They are seventh, but are only two points behind fifth-placed Beverley and sixth-placed Bentley, with both of those sides having finished their seasons.
Drig have two games left to go though, so will sneak into fifth spot and the play-offs with two wins or a win and a draw.
One win and one defeat is unlikely to be enough due to their inferior points difference.
Keighley Albion still have three games left before their season comes to a close in Division One of the Yorkshire Men’s League.
The second-placed side were pushed all the way by a makeshift Nottingham Outlaws side on Saturday, but eventually won 24-22 after overturning an 18-8 deficit.

Meanwhile, Queensbury are up to third after a walkover win against Greetland All Rounders.
This followed up a busy week last time out, where West Bowling, NCL Division One champions, lost just their second league game of the season, 30-22 at play-off hopefuls Oulton Raiders.
Newsome Panthers enjoyed a walkover win against Brighouse Rangers in the YML Premier Division, while Keighley Albion won handsomely, smashing Cutsyke Raiders 72-6.

With Dudley Hill not playing, Wibsey had increased their lead at the top to four points after winning 34-26 at Illingworth.
In Division Three, Wyke recorded a brilliant 34-30 victory at Elland to move up to fourth-bottom from second bottom.
