BRADFORD Dragons Basketball Club have announced the appointment of a new club Chairman, Roger Murie.
Murie brings with him a wealth of basketball experience having both played and coached the game throughout Yorkshire, as well as refereeing at both NBL (National Basketball League) and BBL (British Basketball League) levels for many years.
Outside of the sport, Murie is a Business Entrepreneur and has a number of businesses based in Yorkshire, Manchester and Wales.
Murie will commence his new role with immediate effect, replacing outgoing Chairman, Steve Valentine, who is stepping down after almost ten years in the role. During his tenure of the club, Valentine has helped the club develop and grow, even during the recent times, when the sport has had to negotiate the challenges of the CoronaVirus pandemic.
Valentine has now been awarded the title of Lifetime Honorary President in recognition of his dedicated service to the club.
