For many of those arriving at the Headingley Test Match in Leeds today, there was one 'must have' fashion item that stood out above the rest.
England cricket fans desperate to emulate their fashionista heroes have been desperate to get their hands on bucket hats - with some going for £175 on eBay.
The 90s-inspired ‘titfers’, loved by captain Ben Stokes and bowler Stuart Broad, normally retail for £25 but are selling for seven times their value after stocks ran dry.
Most of the players, who were narrowly beaten by the Aussies on Sunday (July 2), have been seen lounging around in the blue floppy hats during training sessions.
Bootleg sellers outside Headingley today did a roaring trade on £10 knock-off versions.
England fan Steven Dodds, 53, from Middlesbrough, paid £30 for his official hat from the ECB website.
And he was shocked at how much they're going for now online.
Speaking outside the ground, he said: "It's not on selling them for that much. If you've got one and don't want it, you should sell them for what you paid for it.
"I wouldn't sell mine. I don't normally wear them but I've got this because of Ben Stokes. They're perfect for the cricket."
Sallie Tennant, 41, and her daughter Hollie, six, (pictured above) were seen sporting matching hats outside the ground.
Sallie said: "We think they're ace. We wouldn't usually go for them, but we like Stokesy.
"You can't get them anywhere now."
Aidan Blake, 26, picked one up outside the ground for a knockdown price.
He said: "I've been after one for a while and have been scanning the websites all week but couldn't get one.
"I had a look on eBay and there were some for £100 that didn't even look real.
"I've just paid a tenner for this from some geezer outside.
"I know this isn't real but at least I've got a bargain.
"If people are willing to pay for it, there's a market for it obviously. But I wouldn't pay that much."
Another fan sporting a knockoff hat said it was 'ludicrous' people were selling them for £175.
The stylish headgear - favoured by music stars Liam Gallagher and Rhianna - caught the eye of fashion-conscious fans who said the team looked like they were at Glastonbury.
The hats are emblazoned with the three lions logo and were on sale on the England Cricket website - in either a traditional blue or turquoise reversible pattern.
But since they sold out, supporters have been flocking to auction sites, such as eBay, to get their hands on the headwear despite their whopping price tag.
Captain Ben Stokes, who has worn his titfer so much he’s been named ‘Bucket Hat Ben’ by fans, said he was stunned by the interest that the headgear had received.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4, he said: “It's amazing. When you give a bit of apparel to a player, everyone wants to buy them. The lads have really enjoyed wearing them.”
Ex-England Batsman Kevin Pietersen added his praise to the floppy headwear, telling Sky Sports: “They are the best hats in world cricket.”
