A FORMER snooker world champion will play an exhibition in the Bradford district later this year.
Triple Crown winner Shaun Murphy is set to appear at the Saltaire Bar in Shipley on Friday, October 20.
The 2005 world champ is currently one of the best players on the planet.
Murphy has won 11 ranking titles in a 20-year career at the highest level.
Gilstead snooker aficionado Keith Walker is the organiser behind the event.
In recent years, Walker has brought snooker legends Steve Davis, Mark Williams and John Higgins to the district.
Punters were treated to a 147 break when the latter played at the bar in March.
Lewis Walsh was only able to play one shot as Higgins rattled in 15 reds and 15 blacks, before clearing up the colours to achieve snooker’s holy grail.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Walker said: "Pleased to confirm Shaun Murphy exhibition at Saltaire Bar on Friday, October 20.
"Ticket details and official poster to follow."
