BRADFORD Dudley Hill enjoyed an emphatic victory in their top-of-the-table Yorkshire Men’s League Division Two clash against neighbours and rivals Wibsey Warriors.
The BD4 side are now just two points off the summit, with a game in hand on the leaders from BD6.
Dudley Hill ran in nine tries in all during this rampant 48-16 home win.
Daniel Lee and Neil Wall both crossed the line twice, while Danial Softley landed six of his nine conversion attempts.
The victory was befitting of a landmark occasion for the hosts, who were holding a day of celebrations to mark their 75th anniversary.
Queensbury stay third after a disappointing 16-16 draw against struggling Moldgreen.
In the YML Premier Division, Brighouse Rangers leapt off the foot of the table and up to fifth after a gripping 24-22 win over fellow strugglers Siddal Academy.
Wyke stay second-bottom of Division Three, but put up a good fight in only losing 26-20 at high-flying Methley Warriors.
In Division 4B, Birkenshaw Blue Dogs now only have a one-point lead at the summit, after a surprise 26-20 home defeat against mid-table Keighley Albion Academy.
Elsewhere, Brighouse Rangers A enjoyed a fine 22-16 home win over West Craven Warriors to move just two points behind their fourth-placed opponents.
Finally, in National Conference League West, West Bowling Academy conceded their game at Saddleworth Rangers.
They stay top, but having been deducted two points for not fulfilling the fixture, Shaw Cross Sharks move level with them at the summit.
