DEAN Harrison has been very much ‘Mr Consistent’ at the much-loved Isle of Man TT this week.

The Bradford ace has come third in all four of his races so far, with his latest podium coming yesterday afternoon in the second Supersport race of the week.

As was the case for those previous three third-place finishes, he just could not get the better of Michael Dunlop or Peter Hickman.

Dunlop won yesterday’s Supersport event by just over nine seconds from Hickman, the pair both finishing in just under one hour and 11 minutes.

In doing so, he took the lap record, and both he and Hickman became the first men to break the 130mph barrier.

Dunlop is now just one victory away from equalling his uncle Joey’s record for the most TT victories in history.

In fairness, Harrison was a distant third yesterday afternoon, finishing nearly 25 seconds behind Hickman with his time of 1:11:24.663.

But in an impressive personal achievement, the Bradfordian recorded his fastest-ever Supersport lap during the race.

Harrison has two races left this week to break up that dominant top two, with tomorrow’s second Superstock race followed by the prestigious Senior TT on Saturday.
