WEST Bowling have made a scintillating start to the new National Conference League Division One season, making it two wins from two by thumping Clock Face Miners 48-18 on Saturday.
Dean Muir's side had some catching up to do, having been in Challenge Cup action the previous weekend, in a battling defeat at Betfred Championship side York RLFC.
But back against community opposition, they showed the same form that had brought them a crushing 66-8 home win over Crosfields on the opening day.
Back on the artificial surface at Horsfall on Saturday, Bowling ran in eight tries, all of which were converted by dead-eye half-back Harry Williams.
Full-back Max Trueman was at the double, as was scrum-half Liam Darville.
Winger Lewis Taylor and second-row Richard Lumb also crossed the whitewash, as did interchanges Lewis Galtress and Ben Heald.
The win puts Bowling up to second in the table, and they will hit the summit with a win at leaders Skirlaugh this coming Saturday.
Drighlington finally played their first Division Three game of the season, and the wait was worth it, as they won 32-20 at home to Beverley.
Brighouse Rangers are bottom of the Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division, after they were thumped 44-8 by Fryston Warriors on Saturday.
There is a distinctly Bradford flavour to the top of Division Two, with Wibsey Warriors at the summit after winning their derby against Queensbury 24-16.
They overtake Odsal Sedbergh, who suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 26-10 at Moldgreen.
Finally, Bradford Dudley Hill sit third after their 18-6 win at Farnley Falcons.
