IT was a disappointing afternoon for Cleckheaton RUFC on Saturday, as a huge game for them fell by the wayside.
They currently sit fifth in the Regional One North East table, and were set to visit fourth-placed side Driffield in a vital promotion battle.
But the game was frozen off, as was the Regional Two North East encounter between rock-bottom Bradford & Bingley and their hosts Old Crossleyans.
Bradford Salem’s game at Hullensians in Counties One Yorkshire was called off, with Keighley's encounter with Beverley at Rose Cottage, abandoned because of a refereeing injury with the hosts leading 19-17, the only match to go ahead in that division.
Third-placed Baildon saw their clash at Bramley Phoenix in Counties Two Yorkshire postponed due to the weather too.
