The result of the last match at Moor Monkton Pools saw B. Windass win with 32lb.

J. Brogden finished second with 26lb and A. Bolton came third with 22lb.

The River Ouse, although carrying several extra feet of water, has produced some good catches of barbel.

One angler took nine of them in a session at Newton-on-Ouse.

The largest individual fish caught of late weighed 11lb 9oz, and was taken by P. Barron.
