BRADFORD (Park Avenue)'s academy is set to grow even further, with the club confirming that a scholarship trial will be held at Horsfall next month.

Academy technical director Tom McStravick told Avenue's club website last month that, at the time of writing, over 400 youngsters between the ages of five and 18 were part of the club's juniors, performance centre or scholarship academy.

A new intake of 16 to 18-year-olds is on the cards next month, as the academy gets set to welcome interested candidates to become part of their scholarship programme from September 2023.

The scholars play in the Under-19 National Youth Alliance League and Avenue will also have teams in the college league.

Scholars can choose from one of the following education pathways: sport, fitness, public service, joinery or plumbing.

The upcoming scholarship trial will take place on the 4G pitch at Horsfall on Monday, February 13, and will take place from 1-5pm, with food and kit provided on the day.

Once you have submitted your trial form, which is linked here, the club will be in touch within three working days to confirm your trial place.
