BAILDON Head Coach Jake Duxbury has insisted that his side won't be taking this weekend's opponents lightly.
The team from Bradford travel to North Ribblesdale on Saturday (2:15 pm) and they'll be looking to complete the double over their opposition.
The two sides last met on October 1 at Baildon, with the hosts running out 35-5 winners, and it was a victory that would help set the tempo for Duxbury's men in the lead up to Christmas.
His side have gone from strength to strength since then and are flying high in third in the Counties Two Yorkshire division.
Despite striding to a comfortable victory over North Ribblesdale last time out, Duxbury admitted that his side will need to be at their best to claim the double on Saturday.
He said: "I feel like the scoreline at the start of the season flattered us a little bit; we got a couple of late tries to ensure we pulled away from them, however, it was a very close encounter and I expect the same again on Saturday.
"As I say, the scoreline was unfair on them and this time we are going up to their place, which is never nice because they do very well at making their home ground a fortress, as you should do.
"We know what kind of game we'll be facing, they've got a very good forward pack that are going to challenge us in all areas. They've also got backs that can cause damage from anywhere on the field, which is always a nice challenge to think about when you are deciding on how to attack and defend. So yes, we expect another close encounter this weekend and I expect them to be able to cause us many different problems in many different ways. They always put in a solid performance against us and we are expecting no different his weekend, so for that, we need to be on our A-game."
After an inconsistent campaign last time out, Baildon's quality is well and truly coming to fruition this term and Duxbury has been delighted with what he has seen.
He said: "It's been a tremendous season so far and we've spoke about it a lot as a group. With the new year here, we've had lots of time recently to reflect on the campaign so far and look ahead to the second half of the season.
"We are focusing on taking each game as it comes and then we will see where we are come the end of the season.
"I am fully aware, as are the group, that we underachieved last season, but we've shown our true quality once again this time out and it has come as no surprise to me because I've always known about the quality this team possesses. I'm hoping we can see this season out in the strongest possible way."
