IT was a case of trophies galore at Post Hill on Boxing Day where the West Leeds Motor Club hosted their annual Boxing Day Trial at the Farnley venue.
As in previous years the trial attracted a strong field with forty starters who rode a tricky thirteen section three lap course. The heavy mid-week rain tested all classes as the ground was on the soft side of being muddy.
Oliver Sharp won the hard course class from Pontefract’s Ben Ludgate. Frizinghall farmer David Petty was a clear winner on the 50-50 course and his son Charlie won Class B Youth class with a fine fourth place overall.
Harrogate chimney sweep Phillip Hammond won the Clubman class from Leeds garage owner Robin Luscombe who rode his fifty year BSA Bantam to a close second place ahead of Matt Chambers. West Leeds Motor Club John Kershaw master minded the course with his assistants. The Club thank all the observers at the thirteen sections
