YORKSHIRE begin their LV= Insurance County Championship Division Two campaign at home to Leicestershire on April 6, in their first competitive game after their dramatic relegation in September.

They looked likely to stay up at Warwickshire's expense, but the Edgbaston outfit staged an extraordinary comeback on the final day of the season to beat Hampshire by five runs, sending the White Rose county spiralling down into the second tier.

After that opening four-day game at Headingley, Yorkshire travel to Bristol and Hove in the following two weeks.

Glamorgan are the visitors to Headingley from Thursday, May 4, with a trip north to Ottis Gibson’s former county Durham the following week finishing off the first block of red-ball cricket.

Yorkshire Vikings get their T20 season started with the curtain-raising Vitality Blast Off at Edgbaston on Saturday, May 20 as they take on Birmingham Bears, before playing Worcestershire at New Road the following Friday.

Headingley hosts two Sunday double-headers, alongside the Northern Diamonds, on May 28 and June 4.

Sandwiched in the middle is a trip to Trent Bridge on Tuesday, May 30 and the highly-anticipated Roses clash at Headingley on Thursday, June 1.

The following week includes a visit to Grace Road on the Tuesday before Worcestershire are the visitors to Headingley on Friday, June 9.

A solitary Championship game will be played at Chesterfield starting on Sunday, June 11, with the Vikings returning to the same venue for a Vitality Blast game the following Sunday.

In the middle, Yorkshire entertain Leicestershire at Headingley on Friday, June 16.

Shan Masood’s side complete the home leg of the T20 campaign with games against Northants and Birmingham on Tuesday, June 20 and Thursday, June 22.

The Vikings finish the Blast group stage with away fixtures at Durham (June 23) and Lancashire (June 30), with a home County Championship match in the middle at Headingley against Gloucestershire.

Yorkshire then play three further red-ball games, taking on Worcestershire at New Road from Monday, July 10, before Sussex (July 19) and Durham (July 25) are the visitors to Headingley and Scarborough respectively.

The One-Day Cup gets underway with a pair of fixtures at North Marine Road, as Kent are the visitors on Tuesday, August 1 and Lancashire on Thursday, August 3.

Away trips to Trent Bridge and Essex follow, before York Cricket Club host the Vikings’ final two home games. Surrey visit on Tuesday, August 15 and Hampshire on Thursday, August 17.

The One-Day Cup campaign is wrapped up with a trip to the East Midlands to face Leicestershire on Sunday, August 20, followed by a game at Middlesex on Tuesday, August 22.

The season culminates with four County Championship games, starting with a return to Scarborough to play Derbyshire from Sunday, September 3.

Away visits to Sophia Gardens and Grace Road follow before the season is brought to a close with Worcestershire visiting Headingley from Tuesday, September 26.
