SIR - The achievements of Kevin Sinfield's fundraising for MND just keep on coming!

This man is nothing short of truly inspirational. His passion, dedication and commitment for raising funds for MND is truly mind-blowing.

Yet, he carries out these huge tasks which he has set for himself with such humbleness, love and compassion and, always shows such appreciation for all those who run alongside him and the support team who are part of the achievement without whom Kevin's task would be very difficult.

Seeing the great Doddie Weir at the start of the 7in7 challenge and Kevin's dear friend, Rob Burrow in Leeds yesterday, now both wheelchair-bound and each with their careers cut short so cruelly by MND, is heartbreaking.

This week's weather with relentlessly heavy rain has been a soul destroying challenge in itself. Yet, Kevin kept going each day.

Whilst I am not a follower of rugby league (my preference being RFU), I cannot help but follow Kevin's fundraising challenges with complete awe.

He is a fantastic role model for our young people.

If anyone deserves to be honoured with a knighthood then Kevin Sinfield is truly deserving of this. I hope he has this honour conferred on him without further delay.
