WOODLANDS captain Brad Schmulian has posted his second first-class century, and it was a marathon effort.
The Kiwi was back in his home country earlier this month, having left Bradford for the winter, and batted at number three for Central Districts and North Districts.
It was a one-sided Plunket Shield affair, with Schmulian's side emerging victorious by 279 runs.
The Woodlands skipper was part of a strong Central Districts side, which featured New Zealand Test opener Will Young, top international spinner Ajaz Patel, and Doug Bracewell, who took 72 wickets for the Black Caps in 27 Test matches.
But it was Schmulian who stole the show, first hitting 55 as his side posted 273 on day one.
Central Districts could only reply with 161, but still had a fighting chance, until Bradford Premier League star Schmulian completely took the game away from them.
He hit 200 not out in the second innings, no mean feat given he was facing Black Caps first-change seamer Neil Wagner and former Test all-rounder, and ex-Bradford Premier League player himself, Colin de Grandhomme.
That allowed Central Districts to declare on 371-4, and Northern Districts were bundled out for 204, with Schmulian taking the final wicket of their innings with his off-spin to wrap up the victory.
