THE Bradford & District Sunday School Billiards League knockout competition is almost over, and it is Bradford Deaf Centre and Princeville A who have a shot at winning the trophy.
The latest results were as follows:
Bradford Deaf Centre A 921 Princeville B 955
Princeville B 996 Bradford Deaf Centre 1001
Princeville A 1030 Pudsey 989
Pudsey 988 Princeville A 980
Breaks:
C Jarvis (Princeville A) 57 & 40, R Bowes (Pudsey) 45, 34 & 33.
I Hussain (Bradford Deaf Centre) 33, S Kershaw (Princeville B)31, T Kershaw (Princeville B) 31.
In this short round robin two leg format competition, the crown will definitely go to either Princeville A and Bradford Deaf Centre, who meet in the final round of fixtures for a winner-takes-all showdown.
Both secured five points from their opening fixtures and Princeville A looked like picking up another five before going down by 988-980 away at Pudsey to leave them on eight points.
Bradford Deaf Centre slipped up at home to Princeville B, but secured a narrow five point victory at their opponents in the second leg to leave them with seven points going into the final fixtures.
If the teams finish level on 10 points, after these matches, which is a possibility, they will meet again on neutral tables to decide who takes the trophy.
