BRADFORD & Bingley return to match action this weekend and they have a chance to make inroads on a side just above them in Morley.
Following a week off, Carl Paterson's side will be looking to hit the ground running on their return, while they'll also be looking to claim their first victory of the season.
As many know, the Bradford club have had to endure a ten-point deduction after they fielded underage players last season, but they'll be able to claw that deficit back with an away win at Morley-the side who two places above them in tenth.
Two weeks ago was the last time Bradford & Bingley played and they were beaten 71-20 by a strong Moortown team.
Discussing the break, Head Coach Carl Paterson said: "Training has been decent to be fair. It's given us a bit of time to work on a few things that we need to improve on, however, the timing of the break was a bit of mixed one because we played really well for an hour against Moortown and it would have been nice to build on that hour display.
"On the other side of things, we only put in a good display for the first hour of the game instead of the full 80 minutes. So, the break did give us more time to understand why we couldn't keep up the performance levels for the full game. Hopefully we've managed to rectify a few things and we come back strongly this weekend."
There was a lot of excitement at the club around two weeks ago when it was announced that former Keighley Cougars' stars Aidan Scully and Dalton Desmond-Walker would be joining the club following the departures from the rugby league side.
It was hoped that the two men would make the squad this weekend, but Paterson confirmed that they're not available.
He said: "Unfortunately for us, them two have had to pull out of the team this week. Both played for Bradford Bulls against Greece last week and Aidan went on to do a half marathon during the week, so he's struggling. Dalton is away as well for us this week which will be a blow, but we are happy with the squad we've got."
A victory at Morley today would be Bradford & Bingley's first of the season but even if they don't get it Paterson believes it isn't too far away.
He said: "It's always tough going away to Morley whatever situation you're in. A win would be big for us, that's for sure, but I do feel whatever happens, it's not too far away. We've had some very good performances in spells and you can feel that the lads are getting used to playing with one another.
"We know it's going to be a tough task to stay up but we will give it our all and make sure we fight until the very end."
