Alex Rhodes is primed for his first start since October after shining as a sub at Notts County.
The winger scored one goal and had a hand in another in City's comeback win. Now he is likely to be rewarded with a full game against Rotherham.
Rhodes whose contract runs out at the end of the season, last started in the defeat at Morecambe and has seen his opportunities severely limited since. But Stuart McCall hinted that he could be in line for a bigger role tomorrow night.
The City boss said: "He had been unfortunate before Christmas with injuries and we've only seen glimpses and flashes of what he can do as a substitute.
"He'd done all right in the reserves but not enough to knock the door down and force me to pick him, especially with the team going along steady enough.
"But I felt Alex deserved to be on the bench on Saturday because of his performances in training last week. He looked really sharp and desperate to play.
"There is a lot of competition down the left-hand side and I told him when he gets on to take his chance, which he did. His all-round performance was excellent.
"That's what we want from all the players between now and the end of the season. It's about consistency."
Rotherham have a major doubt over striker Derek Holmes, who injured his ankle in the 3-2 win over Lincoln.
