Farsley have the opportunity to avenge their home defeat to York in the Blue Square Premier back in November when their neighbours return to Throstle Nest on Sunday in the FA Trophy third round.

John Deacey's men beat Nicky Law's Alfreton 2-0 in a second-round replay on Tuesday and banked £5,000 into the bargain.

The tie against York was put back from tomorrow because Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos are both at home. On police advice, with a big crowd expected, the Celts and the Minstermen agreed to delay the kick off by 24 hours.

Deacey said: "It is good to have a home tie and because it's York I'm sure there will be even more interest in it - our chairman is certainly delighted. It is a massive game, there should be a big crowd and that is good for the club.

"I have no complaints about the squad after the last two performances, the televised game against Stevenage and the replay win over Alfreton.

"Stevenage were second at the time but I thought we deserved to win the game and we didn't quite hit the same heights against Alfreton but got the result.

"We are looking forward to every game at the moment but we know it will be tough tomorrow as York are bang on form. They have had a great run and are in a strong position in our league.

"They sacked Billy McEwan and since his assistant (Colin Walker) was placed in charge they haven't looked back. But I said earlier in the season, when York were struggling in the table, that they were a good club in a false position and would climb up. Let's hope we can help them concentrate on the league even more."

Deacey himself moved up from number two when Lee Sinnott moved on to Port Vale. The Celts manager has no new injury concerns but Georges Santos, Dominic Krief and Ryan Serrant are all cup-tied.

Deacey has made new goalkeeper Curtis Aspen's transfer from Hull permanent and has spoken with Bradford City this week in the hope of extending Craig Bentham's loan.
