Guiseley are looking for their third straight Premier Division victory on Saturday when they journey to basement outfit Lincoln United, despite having lost in midweek.
Their opponents on Tuesday were Blue Square North outfit Harrogate Town, who won the West Riding County Cup quarter-final clash 3-2.
"You don't like to lose a game but I was pleased that we had finished it strongly because in previous weeks we have tailed off towards the end," said Guiseley manager Steve Kittrick.
"Considering we had five big players out it was a very encouraging. Don't get me wrong, the first half was men against boys, they bossed it, but me and Benno (assistant Wayne Benn) had a word at half-time and our lads came out more determined.
"Because of injuries or through being cup-tied Damien Dunne, Lee Pugh, James Hanson, James Cotterill and Aaron Wilford all missed Tuesday. They will be back for Saturday.
"And if we play as well at Lincoln as we did in the later stages against Harrogate , who had a very strong side out with only two regulars missing, then we will get the result. We will try to take the positives from midweek into the weekend."
