BRADFORD-based horse Vintage Clouds failed to defend its Ultima Handicap Chase title at the Cheltenham Festival yesterday afternoon.
The veteran grey, trained by Sue Smith in High Eldwick, Bingley, did a good job early on with jockey Sean Quinlan on board.
But the 33/1 shot faded badly in the 24-strong field, and eventually pulled up towards the end.
Corach Rambler was the eventual winner, at 10/1, with Vintage Clouds' next race due to be the Scottish Grand National at the start of next month.
