Tim Patterson was the first Airienteer home in third place with a time of 71mins 21secs on the 7.9km long course in the latest district event hosted by York-based Eborienteers at Bishop's Wood near Selby.
Junior runner Robert Kelly, of Menston, produced a fine run to finish runner-up in 53.51 on the 6.3km Blue course.
Meanwhile, Airienteers have not made it to the national final of the Compass Sport Cup for the first time in many years. With many of their stronger runners missing, they failed to progress from the North East regional heat at Hamsterley, County Durham.
