Andy Hodge, from Hebden, near Skipton, has won rowing's 2007 Olympic Athlete of the Year award from the British Olympic Association (BOA).
He shares the honour with fellow men's four participants Steve Williams, Alex Partridge and Peter Reid.
Best-known winners among the awards, handed out by the 35 Olympic governing bodies in Britain, are Andy Murray (tennis) and Nicola Sanders (athletics).
BOA chief executive Simon Clegg said: "The presentation of these trophies recognises the drive, determination and commitment of athletes across all of our Olympic sports as they strive to achieve their goals in the international sporting arena."
