Silsden could climb back into the top six of the Vodkat League top tier on Saturday if they beat Flixton and other results are favourable.

"Their place is in Manchester which doesn't have the best record regarding rain but we have prepared accordingly," said Cobbydalers' boss Paul Schofield.

"We went there two seasons ago following a similarly wet week. It was fit when we travelled but there was dramatic downpour on the morning of the game and it was called off by the time we arrived.

"A lot of these pitches can only take so much but this is one of those games you want on, a genuine six-pointer.

"They are fifth, five points in front of us, but we have a game in hand. There is also a bit of desire to avenge the handball incident of the reverse fixture.

"It was a 1-0 defeat for us at Cougar Park. The goal was late and there was a hint of the Maradona hand of God'."

Centre back Martin Bland begins a two-game ban for a sending-off.
