EASTBROOK have withdrawn from the Bradford & District Sunday School Billiards League with immediate effect, leaving the competition's future in jeopardy.
They made a good start, winning 4-2 in their opening game of 2021 against Princeville B, but were well beaten in their next encounter, 5-1 at Pudsey.
But with them now pulling out, the committee have therefore taken the difficult decision to suspend all fixtures for two weeks and have called an Emergency General Meeting to discuss the future of the league.
The meeting has been called for next Tuesday (October 26) at Cornerstone Methodist Church in Great Horton.
It gets underway at 7:30pm and is open to all registered players.
In the games that did go ahead just before the league's suspension, Bfd Deaf Centre beat Princeville A 4-2, while Princeville B drew 3-3 with Pudsey.
J. Dixon, of the Bfd Deaf Centre, had the highest break with 33, while the in-form R. Bowes made breaks of 32 and 30 for Pudsey.
