City youth dusted off the cobwebs from a four-week break to win 3-2 at Boston.
They trailed 2-1 at half-time despite dominating the opening 45 minutes.
Leon Osborne scored after good build-up play by Luke Dean and Brinsley Sheridan but other chances went begging.
Sheridan levelled from close range after Louis Horne's header rattled the bar and Paul Bowes nodded the winner in a pretty drab game from a free-kick.
City youth: Filler, Griffiths, Horne, Sharry, Bowes, O'Hara (Myles 75min), Carson (Banks 70min), Newton (Bleau 46min), Sheridan, Dean, Osborne.
