It was a frustrating weekend for four of the seven local semi-professional clubs as the weather decimated their fixtures, and Bradford Park Avenue were the biggest losers.
Their visit to Newcastle Blue Star was called off at 10am because of a frozen pitch. It meant they lost their second place in UniBond Division One North and their chance to lead the table next Saturday.
Avenue trailed leaders Curzon Ashton by just two points before the weekend and the pair clash at Horsfall Stadium this Saturday.
Curzon made the most of the Bradford side's inactivity with a 6-0 win at home to struggling Bridlington Town. That means should Avenue win at home against Curzon next week they will still not overhaul them.
Other rivals Ossett Albion, who leapfrogged Avenue, and FC United of Manchester also picked up maximum points. Ossett beat Clitheroe 5-1 at home, while FC United enjoyed a 2-1 victory at home to Chorley.
However, Skelmersdale United lost 2-0 in a Lancashire derby at Rossendale United.
