AFTER the Bradford FA Cup competitions were curtailed before the end of the 2019/20 season and no competitions were scheduled for 2020/21, this weekend will see the restart of the popular local cup competitions for teams playing within the Bradford area.
The Saturday Senior Cup has teams that play in various divisions, in the West Yorkshire League, the Yorkshire Amateur League, the Craven & District League and the Halifax League.
Salts and Field, who both play their football in the West Yorkshire League, have won the Saturday Senior Cup more than a dozen times between them in previous seasons.
Salts will visit Yorkshire Amateur League based Wibsey at Bankfoot CC in one of six Round One ties, while Field will take on Route One Rovers at the Zara Sports Centre in one of two Second Round ties.
In the Sunday Senior Cup, Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division duo Olympic and Low Moor host fellow top flight sides West Bowling and Thornbury Celtic respectively in Round One.
Championship teams AFC Wibsey and Bradford Moor YSA will have Clayton Albion and New Line as their visitors in Round One ties.
