Yeadon - Guiseley Motor Club. A.C.U. Wessex Plant Hire (Bristol) Mel Harrison Sidecar Championship, Round 6.
DOB Park was no walk in the park on Sunday for 16 A.C.U. Wessex Plant Hire sidecar crews who battled their way through 18 hard sections.
And it was a Baildon family duo who stole the show, with father and daughter Nigel and Gracie-Mae Scott coming second to maintain their overall points lead in the championship.
The weather was bright and sunny but the sections carried a legacy of midweek torrential rain and the rocks were on the green side of slippery.
The action commenced in Dob Park Wood, where the nine openers tested all four classes.
The 23 solo competitors did scrub some of the green off the rocks and they led the field on a three lap sortie.
Jon Tuck and Matt Sparkes were on another level, with first lap maximums in Dob eight then in Browns on lap two, before a stop in section one in the valley bottom, then another five in the penultimate hazard.
The black-bearded Nigel Scott was working hard with his teenage daughter Gracie-Mae and got his Beta home in second place to hang onto the top expert position.
That result puts the Baildon team for the two final events in Devon in the points lead.
The Wessex attack is on though, with Tuck and Sparkes just one championship point adrift of the Scotts.
The West of England double header should see Tuck and Sparkes take yet another title.
Bradford Motor Club members Anthony Ayrton and his 17-year-old daughter Lucy excelled with a strong ride in the Novice class, where they were third but only three penalties short of the runners-up.
Meanwhile, at the A&A Westerby Trial, Liam Walker topped the expert standings on the hard course, with 22 points on his Gas Gas.
In the Yorkshire Centre Team Trial, Walker came out on top again, alongside Ben and Sam Ludgate, with a total of 101 on the hard course.
The weekend fixture list sees the Ripon Motor Club's seventh Summer Series trial at Haverah Park in Harrogate from 2pm today.
Tomorrow, Yeadon-Guiseley Motor Club have a non-championship trial, at Brimham Rocks, Summerbridge, from 11am.
Finally, Darlington & District Motor Club are having a Cancer Research charity trial at Brokes, Richmond, from 11am.
