FLOODLIT cricket returns to Bradford & Bingley’s Wagon Lane ground tomorrow (7pm) for a charity match in memory of Jeff Slater, former secretary and second team captain of Manningham Mills.
The match has been arranged by Jeff’s sons, Phil and Richard. Phil will captain a side that includes several of his former Bingley team-mates who played in the Priestley Cup winning sides of 2010 and 2015, among them Chris Thompson, Scott Etherington, Ryan Cooper, Matthew Duce and David Clow.
They will play against a Bradford League side led by Mark Gilliver, whose company, Cricket School Limited, is providing the shirts the team will wear.
The team includes Lee Goddard, captain of Priestley Cup winners New Farnley, the Pudsey St Lawrence pair James Smith and Charlie Best, and Hanging Heaton batsman Callum Geldart.
