TWO years ago, Truro trials rider Toby Martin lost control of his motor cycle at the Brimham Rocks trial ground and plunged 15 feet down the jagged rock face.
His machine plummeted after him.
On Sunday at the same venue, the Cornish teenager notched up an almost a runaway victory from Scarborough MRS Sherco rider Jack Peace.
To be blunt, Martin destroyed his ACU Trials GB rivals and tops the class points.
East Yorkshireman Andrew Chilton won his class, heading Brighton’s Jack Dance.
British Ladies champion Emma Bristow took the Trials Expert class from Chester’s Bradley Bullock and Glasshouse electrician Danny Gamble.
The 125cc class was dominated by 15-year-old East Keswick Beta rider Harry Hemingway.
He won that ahead of Buxton’s Harry Turner, as well as his 13-year-old brother George Hemingway.
There was another good ride at the event for young Silsden prospect Alfie Lampkin too.
