Lincoln Moorlands 2, Thackley 1
Thackley's recent resurgence was checked at Lincoln Moorlands, who gained revenge for last week's defeat with a 2-1 victory.
Having lost the reverse fixture 6-2, the home side were keen to set the record straight.
It was a more subdued meeting than last week's eight-goal affair but Lincoln did not give their visitors any time on the ball. However, they struggled to break down Thackley's defence but they made the breakthrough at a crucial time.
On the stroke of half-time, a ball floated into the area was firmly headed home by Stuart King. Thackley head coach John Boyle made a change at the break by bringing on Danny Backhouse for Matt Matthers. But it was to no avail as midway through the second half, Lincoln increased their advantage.
A foray down the right flank culminated in a cross and Craig Bridge slid the ball home.
Thackley's reply came from the penalty spot. Skipper Joel Etienne, pictured, raced into the area in the 74th minute and was tripped. Striker Danny Forrest stepped forward to fire home from the spot.
