West Bowling and Bradford Dudley Hill are on their National Conference League travels on Saturday as hostilities resume following the Christmas break.
Bowling journey to play a Castleford Panthers outfit who are under probation after being warned that should they transgress the strict Conference code of conduct they will be booted out of the competition at the end of the season.
The Panthers have also lost their coach Danny Bolton, who has joined Shaw Cross Sharks together with BARLA Great Britain hooker Paul Brown.
All this turmoil should suit a Bowling side hoping to put their Ace National Cup defeat at Eccles firmly in the past to gain a valuable away win in the quest to avoid relegation from the Premier Division.
DUDLEY HILL are in need of a morale-boosting win at Shaw Cross to improve their Division One position.
Hill won the home encounter by a narrow margin but the loss of two points for playing a suspended player has seen them drop from joint top to fifth spot.
Last week's surprise 32-4 National Cup defeat at Sharlston has added to the gloom but the chance to return to the summit will surely result in Hill's first league double of the campaign.
