Eastwood Town 3, Guiseley 2
New Gusieley manager Steve Kittrick was left looking for his first win in charge after a second successive defeat to a 90th-minute free-kick.
It was another frustrating day for the Nethermoor side following the midweek loss in the FA Trophy to Kidderminster and three postponements on the trot.
Guiseley created far more chances than the home side and arguably had more of the ball in key areas. However, missed opportunities proved decisive as Eastwood took a grip on the game midway through the first half.
A pass from the Guiseley defence was intercepted and fired in by David Brown.
Within minutes, it was 2-0 after Paul Mitchell added a second.
The visitors' leading scorer James Hanson drove in a left-foot shot to bring them back into the game before a contentious offside decision prevented them from levelling.
Dean Walters rounded two defenders and the keeper before sliding the ball into the net only for the official to raise his flag.
But they were still on terms by the break when skipper Richard Dunning's corner was headed in by Marc Smith.
In the second half, Kittrick watched in disbelief as the chance count stacked up.
The least Guiseley deserved was a point but that was snatched away in dramatic fashion late on.
After a foul from Sam Denton - on for the injured Aron Wilford - the free-kick was blasted in by Chris Green.
