Guiseley 1, Kidderminster Harriers 2
Guiseley's hearts were broken by a late winner from Blue Square Premier outfit Kidderminster in a 2-1 first-round proper FA Trophy defeat tonight.
The tie was held over after Nethermoor was gripped by frost at the weekend.
In what was new boss Steve Kittrick's first match in charge, Guiseley looked the more likely side to progress throughout but the visitors booked themselves a second-round tie at league rivals Weymouth from a 90th-minute free-kick.
Guiseley led from the third minute when the game's first chance was converted by James Hanson with a left-foot shot.
The home side's Mark Bett was a constant threat to the Harriers and came close to increasing Guiseley's lead five times before the break.
More openings were created by the hosts in the second half before Kidderminster levelled. A goalmouth scramble in the 77th minute ended with Russell Penn stabbing the ball over the line.
Dean Walters had a one-on-one but fired just wide for the hosts and Tom Agus, who looked confident and competent on his Guiseley debut, saw a left-foot shot blocked.
Harriers' Russell Harkness settled the issue with his direct effort right at the death.
