Guiseley remain hopeful that tomorrow night's second attempt to play their FA Trophy first-round tie at home to Kidderminster Harriers will go ahead following Saturday's postponement.

FARSLEY CELTIC, however, have decided to give their replay with Gateshead another 24 hours. They were due to play tomorrow but the game has been put back to Wednesday in the hope that the weather will be warmer.

Celts boss John Deacey, who was confirmed as the permanent successor to Lee Sinnott ahead of Saturday's 1-1 stalemate at Gateshead, said: "We want the game on and it will have a better chance by leaving it an extra day.

"We have a very busy time coming up in the Blue Square Premier over the holiday period and then into January so it would be disruptive if we had to fit this replay in somewhere down the line."

GUISELEY boss Steve Kittrick is hoping it will prove third time lucky for him as, a fortnight into the job, he is still awaiting his first 90 minutes in the dugout.

The UniBond Premier Division fixtures at Ashton United and at home to Frickley Athletic were also victims of the weather.

Saturday's visit of Farsley's league rivals Kidderminster was called off because of a frozen pitch.

Kittrick has no fresh injury worries and confirmed that new signing Tom Agus, the former Bradford Park Avenue defender, is available, although striker Gavin Knight is cup-tied.

Previous manager Terry Dolan allowed Knight out on loan and he played for Lincoln United in an earlier round.

Kittrick said: "Everyone else is in the frame and we just want to get started now. It is becoming a bit of a bind for the lads because it is beginning to affect their match fitness.

"There will be a decision on the pitch at noon, as we don't want Kidderminster having another wasted journey. Fingers crossed it will be on.

"We are all looking forward to playing a Conference side and we will give them a game. They may be higher than us but they are not unbeatable."
