FARSLEY caretaker boss John Deacey has named a strong 19-man squad for tomorrow night's visit of Torquay United in the Blue Square Premier Division and has his fingers crossed the game will go ahead.

Deacey has no new injury doubts after the Celts' weekend fixture at Weymouth was lost to the weather.

It was an expensive but ultimately fruitless journey to the south coast on Saturday and former Football League outfit Torquay will be hoping they do not face a similar situation at Throstle Nest.

Both of tonight's local non-league games suffered postponements due to frozen pitches.

Despite Saturday's setback, the Celts lost no ground in the table and stayed just above the relegation zone because the bottom four clubs could not capitalise on their inactivity.

LIVERSEDGE were the only one of the seven local semi-pro clubs to get any meaningful action at the weekend and they are back in harness tomorrow as they travel to Winterton Rangers for an NCE President's Cup semi-final.

GUISELEY were due to host Frickley Athletic tonight but manager-in-waiting Steve Kittrick was denied a chance to make his bow for a second time.

Kittrick, only placed in charge last Wednesday, has now seen two chances to lead his new side out for first time fall foul of the weather.

ECCLESHILL were due to travel to Glapwell in the NCE Premier Division at 4.30pm today but got a call less than half an hour before they set off informing them it would not be playable.
