Brighouse Rangers have been expelled from the National Conference League with immediate effect after fielding a professional player under a false name.
Halifax hooker Stuart Proctor, 20, featured during a match in October and was subsequently sent off for gouging.
At the disciplinary hearing, it came to light he had been playing under a false name and a subsequent investigation led to the Division Two club being hit with the huge punishment.
Proctor was banned sine die' for the gouging offence, reduced to two years on appeal, but Brighouse chairman Paul Wormald, secretary Matthew Barraclough and head coach Gary Barnett have all also been banned from fulfilling any role at any National Conference club until January 1, 2010.
The club, who only gained entry into the amateur game's flagship league at the start of last season, are currently considering whether to appeal.
